Slimline Slide Drying Hotplate & Lid

The Slimline Slide Drying Hotplate is designed to efficiently dry paraffin tissue sections through the use of accurate variable digital temperature control. An ultra-fast heating system ensures a rapid warm-up time prior to use. Microscope slides are supported on four moveable rails which allow heated air to pass underneath the slides accelerating drying times. The rails can be removed from the instrument so slides can be placed directly onto the heated surface when required. Slides can be positioned sloped at a 10° angle to encourage water drain-off.

The body of the Slimline Hotplate is coated with an anti-microbial paint finish whch inhibits bacterial and viral growth. The actual hotplate is coated with a maitte black powder to provide visual contrast against paraffin tissue sections.

The optional stainless steel Slimline Slide Drying Hotplate Lid (#28070-1) is available and can be used with slides in position on the hotplate. Use of the lid improves temperature control, further reduces drying times and improves overall heating efficiency.
